Install MeetCap

MeetCap requires macOS 14.2 or later and runs on Macs with Apple silicon or an Intel processor. Download it from the download page, or install it with one command in Terminal. Either way you get the app, the meetcap command, and the MeetCap skill for the agents on this computer.

  1. On the download page, click Download MeetCap for Mac. The right side of the button shows which version you get, Apple silicon or Intel. To get the other one, click it and choose the other chip.

To check which one your Mac has, choose Apple menu › About This Mac. A Mac with Apple silicon shows Chip, and a Mac with an Intel processor shows Processor.

  2. Open the MeetCap.dmg or MeetCap-Intel.dmg file that you downloaded.

  3. Drag MeetCap to the Applications folder.

  4. Open MeetCap from the Applications folder.

    First-time setup starts.

Each time you open MeetCap from the Applications folder, it puts the meetcap command in ~/.local/bin. It also adds the MeetCap skill to the agents it finds on this computer.

curl -fsSL https://meetcap.seacen.dev/install.sh | bash

The command puts MeetCap in your Applications folder, adds the meetcap command, and adds the MeetCap skill to each agent it finds on this computer. If ~/.local/bin isn’t in your PATH, it prints the line to add. It ends with: “To finish setting up, open MeetCap or run meetcap setup in Terminal.”

To update MeetCap later, run the same command again.
